Janet Tyler - Chairman of the Board

team/janet.png Janet Tyler was born on 07.11.53 in Santa Barbara, California.She received a BA in Sociology at the University of California Santa Barbara, and studied voice privately with Met Opera Soprano Natalie Bodanya. She participated in the Masters Voice Program at U.S.C.(University of Southern California) under the direction of Natalie Limonick.

Janet was the first classical singer ever to receive a scholarship from Atlantic Records in New York. She was a scholarship student at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara for 2 consecutive summers. She also worked as general manager for Verne Pershing Productions in Hollywood.

While in Los Angeles she sang in recording studios for Motown and Columbia Records. In 1986 she was chosen to sing Carmen on a European tour in the production "Carmen Jones" with the New York Harlem Opera Ensemble. She sang in all the major opera houses of Europe, and for the Royal Family of Lichtenstein. In 1991 she was cast in Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber`s "The Phantom of the Opera" as the Hofdame. She was the first Black women ever to be cast in this show. Many other productions and concerts followed which took her all over the world.

In 1993 she founded PG Management, a musical theater agency that concentrates on helping artists maintain a high professional level, and focuses on finding them jobs that further their careers. She then co-produced and played in the TV series “Rita`s Wunderbar“ in Munich, Germany. She was the first Black American Women to ever co-produce a television series in Germany (96/97).

Janet has always wanted to help people her entire life, and has done so. Now she has brought all of her strength and courage to her most important project of her life aRTISTS iN dIVINE sPIRIT.
